Manual exploratory windows without chaos charters
A charter fits on five lines: persona, environment, data profile, out-of-scope zones, and stop condition. Anything longer becomes shelf-ware. Pair each charter with a visible timer in the war room so observers know when to expect debrief notes.
During the window, capture findings as tweets: one sentence, link to evidence, severity guess. The format forces prioritisation before the backlog grooming that always runs long.
Afterwards, run a ten-minute blameless recap focused on systemic gaps, not individual misses. The recap note belongs in the same folder as the charter so the next squad inherits context.
